Will it lock my knowledge into a proprietary format?
No. Original content is written to a Markdown folder you choose, and attachments remain ordinary files. You can open everything with other tools even if you stop using Just Drop.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
You can keep capturing, reading, and searching locally. Photo text recognition runs on device. Questions that use a third-party AI service wait until a connection is available.
Will AI rewrite my knowledge automatically?
No. AI can propose changes, but anything that affects your long-term material requires your explicit approval. Rebuildable indexes and summaries never replace the original Markdown.
Do I need an account or subscription?
The launch version offers local features for free and requires no account. You can also bring a compatible AI API; its key stays in the iOS Keychain and the provider bills you directly.
